Welcome to the Motorcycle Repair Educational Hub: Your One-Stop Shop for All Things Two-Wheeled!
Greetings, motorcycle enthusiasts and aspiring mechanics!
my love affair with motorcycles began in the most natural place imaginable: my dad's garage. A respected mechanic, he instilled in me a passion for these powerful machines from a young age. My childhood wasn't filled with the usual toys; instead, I was surrounded by motorcycles, tools, and the intoxicating aroma of engine oil. This wasn't just a workspace for my father – it became my sanctuary, a place where the thrill of the ride intertwined with the satisfaction of tinkering and understanding the inner workings of these magnificent machines.
Over the years, my passion for motorcycles evolved beyond personal enjoyment. I honed my skills by riding a vast array of bikes, from the dependable Honda C90 of my youth to the adrenaline-pumping Suzuki RMZ450. But my true calling wasn't limited to just riding. I discovered a unique talent for restoring forgotten motorcycles, breathing new life into them with my own resourceful methods. Whether it was a well-worn Honda CD series bike or a performance-oriented machine like a Kawasaki Stella, these weren't just projects – they were testaments to the potential that lies within every motorcycle.
My Motorcycle Journey
From the age of 16, I immersed myself in the world of motorcycles, starting with my Honda C90 and progressing through a series of incredible bikes, including:
- Honda XL125 S, XL125R, 200R: My introduction to the world of motorcycling.
- Honda XLR Paris-Dakar: A special edition that holds a special place in my heart.
- Honda CD125, CD200 Roadmaster, CB125, CB125T, CB250N: Key milestones in my collection.
- Honda NSR125, Honda CRM 250AR, Suzuki RGV200: Significant bikes in my early riding years.
- Suzuki Bandit 250, Honda CBR 250, Kawasaki Stela, Yamaha Lanza, Honda XL500S: Part of my evolution as a rider.
- Suzuki RMZ450, Suzuki DR 250, Yamaha XTX250, Honda SL230, Yamaha TTR 250, Aprilia Turg: Part of my more recent collection.
- Suzuki Decibel 250 XC: My latest pride and joy.
This experience, coupled with my 14 years of expertise in automotive repair and electronics (gained through roles like working as a technician at the only Honda dealership in Sri Lanka!), fueled a desire to share my knowledge and empower others. That's why I'm so excited to launch the Motorcycle Repair Educational Hub!
